オサムシタケ～冬虫夏草～

瓦礫の山、露出した鉄筋、下敷きになった人々が捜索される現場写真。ウクライナでの惨状をニュースで知った際に受けたインスピレーションを元に制作した。 この作品はオサムシタケという冬虫夏草がモチーフである。オサムシタケは生きたオサムシに胞子を付着させ体表を溶かしながら体内に侵入し寄生する。そしてある日オサムシを殺してキノコを伸ばし、また胞子を飛ばす。土の中で死を迎えそこから地上に向かってキノコを生やす現象は、オサムシの死体が私はここにいると訴えかけているかのように見える。また、その光景はニュースで見た瓦礫の山から露出した鉄筋とそこで下敷きとなった人々のイメージに重なって見えた。 私はこの作品を通して、平和、死者を悼む気持ちを表現するべくこの作品に取り組んだ。ウクライナの戦場の現実やオサムシタケの寄生現象に触れ、平和な国で生きる鑑賞者の心や意識に問いかける作品になることができればと思う。
Photos of a scene with rebar exposed in piles of rubble, and people being searched for underneath. This work was inspired by the news of the devastation in Ukraine. The motif behind this work is Cordyceps sinensis or the caterpillar fungus. The Cordyceps sinensis mushroom attaches its spores to live moths, dissolving the skin to invade their bodies and become a parasite, until the day when the mushroom kills the insect and grows a mushroom to release spores again. The dead insects seem to call out through the larvae dying in the soil from which the mushrooms grow as if to say, "I'm here."This is also superimposed with the image of the rebar exposed from the pile of rubble and people trapped underneath it, as seen on the news. Through this artwork, I wanted to express my feelings of peace and mourning for the dead. I hope this work touches on the realities of the battlefield in Ukraine, and the parasitic phenomenon of the Cordyceps sinensis mushroom, and that it will make viewers living in peaceful countries more conscious and questioning.

NOMURA SHUNSUKE
2000年6月9日生まれ、東京藝術大学美術学部工芸科で陶芸を専攻、現在学部4年。 昆虫のオブジェ作品やカニが花を掴む一輪挿しなど生き物モチーフで作品を制作。最近は陶芸の釉薬研究にも力を入れている。 高校は都立工芸高校を卒業。鍛金、彫金、鋳金の金属工芸を専門に学び、そこで培った金属加工の技術や感性を活かし陶芸分野との融合、応用にも挑む。
Born on June 9, 2000, currently a senior at the Tokyo University of the Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, majoring in Ceramics. Creates works with creature motifs such as insect artworks and a crab holding a flower. Recently has shifted focus to researching ceramic glazes. Graduated from the Tokyo Metropolitan Kogei High School. Specialized in metal crafts of forging, engraving, and casting, and uses the techniques and sensibilities cultivated in metal processing to fuse with and apply to the field of ceramics.
