病気でおぞましい幻覚の数々に悩まされていたある日、「治してください」と祈っていたら一瞬だけ天使が見えました。 それから祈りや願うことの代わりとして天使というモチーフを描き続けています。 自分が苦しい時、何もできない時、天使を描く行為は唯一の救いでした。 天使は私にとって「癒し希望へ導いてくれる存在」であり、それは「愛」そのものです。 この天使たちが目を閉じていて口が描かれていないのは、辛い時に何も見ず何も言わずにただ隣にいてほしいからです。 また、自分が病気になってみて、案外周りの人々も病気になるかならないかのスレスレで日々綱を渡るように生きていることに気づきました。 私たちの生きる現代社会には、気づきにくい「息苦しい仕組み」がたくさんあります。 その中でなんとか今日を生き抜いている人間たちでいっぱいのこの世界と一人一人の心にこの作品が届くことを切に願います。
Once when I was ill, I went through a series of horrifying hallucinations. I prayed for a cure, and for a moment, I saw an angel. Since then, I have continued to draw motifs of angels as stand-ins for prayers and wishes. When I was suffering, when I could do nothing, the act of drawing angels was my only salvation. Angels for me are "beings that heal and lead us to hope," and that is "love" itself. The angels are depicted with their eyes closed and mouths not painted because I want them next to me in times of distress without seeing or saying anything. When I became ill, I also realized that people around me were living their lives on a tightrope between sickness and health. In our modern society, there are many "stifling systems" that we don't notice. I hope this work will reach the hearts of today's survivors.

TAKASUGIRUNA.
1997年神奈川県生まれ。2022年東京藝術大学デザイン科卒業。 東京藝術大学卒展 デザイン賞、いい芽ふくら芽in TOKYO グランプリ、IAG AWARDS 池袋アートギャザリング B-gallery賞 ターナー賞 WACCA IKEBUKURO賞など数々の賞を受賞。 普遍的なテーマ「愛」がなんなのかを知るためにさまざまな媒体を用いて異なる角度から作品制作を続けている。
Born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1997. Graduated from the Department of Design, Tokyo University of the Arts, in 2022. He has won numerous awards, including the Tokyo University of the Arts Graduation Exhibition Design Prize, the Iime Fukurame in Tokyo Grand Prix, the IAG Awards Ikebukuro Art Gathering B-gallery Award, Turner Award, WACCA Ikebukuro Award, among others. He continues to produce works from different angles using various media to understand the universal theme of "love."
