ロシアによるウクライナ侵攻や米中対立など、世界の分断はますます鮮明になっている。2022年より開始した「ホットサンドメーカーズクラブ」プロジェクトは、ホットサンドを世界の複雑性を包括的に受け止めるメディアと捉え、異なる文化や背景を持つ人々との交流を通じて、物語を共有することを目的としている。 今回提出する作品は、2022年にベルリンで出会ったウズベキスタン人の移民との会話を元に構成した。ロシアに占領されていた歴史や、移民当事者が受けた痛みを理解することはできなくても、パンに挟んでホットサンドとして食べる=語られた言葉を身体に直接取り込むことで、分かろうとすることはできないか。 彼が放った「人間出身だ（I'M FROM HUMAN）」という印象的なセリフを刻印できるホットサンドメーカーを制作し、各地でウズベキスタン料理を挟んだホットサンドを振る舞うパフォーマンスを行ってきた。
Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the US-China conflict have heightened global divisions. The "Hot Sandwich Makers Club" project, launched in 2022, sees hot sandwiches as a medium to embrace the complexities of the world in an all-encompassing way, and is aimed at story-sharing through interactions with people of different cultures and backgrounds. The work submitted is based on a conversation I had with an Uzbek immigrant I met in Berlin in 2022. Even without understanding the history of the Russian occupation and the pain of the immigrants, can we achieve understanding by eating it as a hot sandwich between bread, i.e., taking the words spoken directly into our bodies? He has a hot sandwich maker that is engraved with the impressive line "I'M FROM HUMAN," and performs in various locations serving hot sandwiches that are typical of Uzbek cuisine.

現代美術家。1991年石川県生まれ。東京と金沢を拠点にパフォーマンスや映像インスタレーション作品などの制作を行う。 持ち物スマートフォンのみで海外を旅する《スマホ1台旅》（2017）、バックグラウンドの異なる者同士をつなぎ合わせていく《ホットサンドメーカーズクラブ》（2022）など、地政学もしくは生活の中に潜む境界線を可視化するアクションを通じてシステムに従属する個人のアイデンティティを捉える。
A contemporary artist. Born in Ishikawa Prefecture in 1991. Based in Tokyo and Kanazawa. His medium is performances and video installations. His works include "Traveling Only With A Smartphone" (2017-), in which he traveled abroad only carrying a smartphone, and "Hot Sandwich Makers Club" (2022-), in which he connects people from different backgrounds, capturing the identity of individuals subordinated to the system through actions that visualize the boundaries lurking in geopolitics or life.
