本作はミュンヘンでの留学中初めて制作した陶芸素材での彫刻と滞在中旅先で撮影した車窓風景からなるインスタレーション作品である。コロナ禍を経て数年ぶりの大移動、旅。留学とはいえ束の間の旅人である私には、そこで作ることができるもの・旅先から持ち帰ることができるものにいつも制限が付き纏った。そうした制限を少しでもポジティブに乗り越えるために、旅先で見た風景やモチーフを写真に納めて、ミュンヘンに帰ってから小さな陶芸のピースとして焼き上げた。「旅」とは、ある程度の安全が保証された状態でないとできない。2022年当時は戦争の状況が心配だったが、渡航後私が見てきた風景は「平和」と言えるものだった。そんな風景の連続を美しいと思いながら、隣国の情勢を考えるととても違和感があった。誰もが自由に旅をして、新しい風景に出会いに行ける世界を私は望む。
This installation encompasses the first ceramic sculptures I created when I was an overseas student in Munich and the photographs I took from a car window during my stay. It was my first big trip in several years, the previous one having been before the pandemic. Although it was a study-abroad program, my stay was brief, limiting what I could create and what I could bring back. Trying to make the best of the situation, I created a photographic collection of local landscapes and motifs, and, after returning to Munich, I fired small ceramic pieces that I had potted. Travel is only feasible once you have guaranteed your safety to some extent. During 2022, I fretted about the war situation. However, when I arrived, I found that the scenery around me was peaceful. While I admired the beauty of my surroundings, I felt perturbed when I thought about the situation in a nearby country. I long for a world in which everyone can travel freely and encounter beautiful scenery.

アーティスト。現代における「風景」「旅」「移動」をキーワードに、映像や物語を用いたインスタレーション作品を制作している。2022年ドイツ・ミュンヘン美術アカデミーに留学。留学中13カ国26都市を旅する。主な展示歴に、ICC新進作家紹介コーナー「エマージェンシーズ！045」(2023/東京)「群馬青年ビエンナーレ2021」入選(2021/群馬)、グループ展「Storage」(2022/ドイツ)など。
About the artist She creates installations using film and narrative, focusing on the themes of scenery, journey, and travel. In 2022, she attended a study-abroad program at the Academy of Fine Arts of Munich. During Her stay, she toured 26 cities across 13 countries. Her work has been exhibited on a number of occasions, including at Intercommunication Center’s “Emergencies! 045” (a section for showcasing the work of up-and-coming artists) in Tokyo in 2023, at Gunma Youth Biennale 2021, and at a group exhibit in Storage (an event in Germany in 2022).
