この作品は技術的進歩と人間のモラルについて扱ったインスタレーション作品です。日系の若い女性の顔が大写しにされたポスターはAIで生成されたもので、その右頬には10cmほどの正円の穴が開けられています。ポスターの正面にある展示台には正円と同じ大きさの通称:ニキビマシンが置かれており、一定間隔でニキビを生成します。 AIの発達によってまるで本物のようなポートレートが作れるようになる一方で、感情も存在もない人間を通して社会のモラルは脅かされています。しかしこれらの問題はAIが生まれる以前から、積み重ねられた社会の価値観によってすでに育まれてきた歪みでもあります。 技術の進歩は人間の生活を豊かにしてくれますが、我々自身の価値観がアップデートされなければそれらの技術は世界を平和へと導いてはくれません。 築き上げられるシステムの中の欠陥を補うように、機械化したニキビは生成と消失を繰り返します。
This installation considers the relationship between technological progress and human ethics. The poster showing a close-up of a Japanese girl’s face was generated by AI. On her right cheek are perfectly round holes some 10 cm in diameter. Upon the exhibition stand in front of the poster is an "acne machine," which generates pustules at regular intervals. With the march of technology, AI can now generate portraits that look like human-designed portraits. These unfeeling, non-existing humans threaten public morality. However, such issues predate the advent of AI; they stem from an existing distortion in our accumulated social values. Technological progress has enriched human life, but unless we update our value system with it, technology has no prospect of leading the world to peace. As if fixing the flaws in the system we have built up, mechanized acne repeatedly flares up and dissipates.

1999年生まれ。東京都出身。 表象についての批判と問題提起をテーマに、インスタレーションや映像、平面などを制作する。 主なモチーフとしてニキビを扱っており、普遍的な存在でありながら広告などのメディアやSNS上のフィルターでは美化の名の下に修正されないものにされるという表象上の特性を、『“普通”という皮膚の下に押し込められ縁周化されるアイデンティティのメタファー』として表現している。
Born in 1999 in Tokyo. She has created installations, films, and two-dimensional works that critique and question representation. Her key motif is acne. She explores the universal characteristics of outward appearance that never get filtered out as they would in advertising media and social media in the name of beauty, these characteristics being a metaphor for a universal identity that is pushed beneath the skin and marginalized.
