身体は一つの建物で、中には様々な私が共存している。 それは、関節リウマチという病気にかかった経験に基づいている。免疫系が自分の組織を攻撃し、関節に炎症と痛みが生じる病気である。ウイルスや細菌の侵入ではなく、身体が内部で戦争を繰り広げているように感じた。協調と対立が交互に繰り返される中で、私自身が制御できない部分も、それぞれの自己意識を持って身体という建物の中で共存していると感じるようになった。 また、幼い頃からアニミズムという概念に影響を受け、世界を理解しようとしてきた。動物や無生物は、人間とは身体的には異なる存在ですが、内面的には類似していると考えてきた。体内の一つ一つの臓器にもアニミズムが宿るのではないかと考え、体内世界に入ってワタシの仕組みを探求し始めた。 この作品では、体内の各地域の風景や住民たちを描いた暖簾のような絵を潜り抜けて、ワタシの様子が徐々に見えてくる自画像となっている。
A body is a building inhabited by a number of identities. This statement is inspired by my experience with rheumatoid arthritis. My immune system started attacking my cells, causing inflammation and pain in my joints. No virus or bacterium had invaded; it was a civil war that was engulfing my body. With the sides alternating between peace talks and conflict, I got the sense that my body was like a building inhabited by different aspects of myself, some of which I had no control over and each with its own self-identity. I had always tried to see the world through the lens of animism, having been influenced by animist thought from a young age. Non-human animals and inanimate objects are physically different from human beings, but I have always felt that we are not so different from them. Believing that animistic forces indwell the organs inside a body, I started delving into the body’s inner world to examine the components and mechanisms that make me the person I am. This piece is a self-portrait that gradually reveals myself as one passes through the pictures, hung like fabric dividers, with the regions inside my body and their inhabitants gradually being revealed.

台湾台中生まれ、台北実践大学建築設計科を卒業 2021年 東京藝術大学美術研究科デザイン専攻 入学 2022年 平山郁夫奨学金 受賞 2023年 東京藝術大学美術研究科デザイン専攻 修了 三菱地所賞 受賞 現在、同大学美術研究科デザイン専攻博士課程1年在学中 世界と私の間に重なっている身体についての作品を制作しています。
Born in Taichung, Taiwan. In 2021, she completed a master’s program in design at the College of Design, Shih Chien University. In 2021, she enrolled in a master’s design program at the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of Arts. In 2022, she received an Ikuo Hirayama scholarship. In 2023, she completed the design program and won the Mitsubishi Estate art award. She is currently enrolled in a one-year doctoral program in design at the university’s Graduate School of Fine Arts. Her work represents the overlapping corporality between the world and herself.
