ペイル・ブルー・ドット Pale Bule Dot 私はゲームエンジンを用いて、デジタル世界で自分のアバターが銃殺され、魂が宇宙に漂うという死の体験をシミュレートし、映像作品を制作した。 この作品のタイトル『ペイル・ブルー・ドット』は、薄暗い青色の点（ペイル・ブルー・ドット）を指し、これは地球から最も遠くの場所から撮影された地球の写真である。その写真の中で、地球は暗闇の宇宙に浮かぶひとつの小さな粒にすぎない。 個人が社会に対する認識は常に情報統制や印象操作に左右されている。慣習となって、もはや意識しょうもない、何らかの「儀礼」によって記憶を抑圧される。しかし、よそものにはよそものとしての記憶と向き合う方法がある。不安を感じながら、自分の感情に真摯に向き合うことで、自分自身を感じることができる。そんな気持ちは、初めてペイル・ブルー・ドットの写真を見たときの気持ちをしばしば思い出した。
Pale Blue Dot I used a game engine to create a death simulation in which my avatar in the digital realm gets gunned down and its ghost floats around in space. The title, "Pale Blue Dot," refers to a photograph of the Earth taken from the furthest distance ever achieved. In the photo, the Earth appears as a tiny speck suspended in dark space. The way an individual thinks about society will always be a product of systems that control information and manipulate public opinion. People can become so accustomed to this that they lose their free will, and their memory gets repressed by some kind of ritual. However, outsiders have their own way to face up to memory. By squaring up to your own feelings—with all the anxiety that creates—you can sense your own self. When I get this feeling, I often recall how I felt when I first saw "Pale Blue Dot."

1993年生まれ、中国河南省出身。2017年来日、多摩美術大学メディア芸術コース卒業後、2023年より東京藝術大学先端芸術に在学。主にゲームエンジンを用いて、映像作品やゲームを制作している。グループ展:2022年《立川学生映画祭》2023年《夢の火山Atlas of a Dream Volcano》など。出演作品:2023年には『宇宙船イン・ビトゥイーン号の窓』(チェルフィッチュ)に出演で参加。
Born1993 in Henan, China, Xu is a Master’s student at the Graduate School of Fine Arts at the Tokyo University of the Arts. Graduated from Tama Art University of Tokyo, Department of Media Arts. Using game engines to create videos and games. Group exhibitions : Tachikawa Student Film Festival in 2022 and Atlas of a Dream in 2023 etc. Theater : "The Window of Spaceship 'In-Between" (Chelfitsch Theater Company) actor.
