古代から人々は音楽に平和への祈りを込めた。本楽曲では、ノルウェーに古くから伝わる “Langebergs Laatt’n（連なる山々）”の旋律を用い、ランゲレイクなどの民俗楽器、讃美歌、ブルース、ロック、ポップス、民俗音楽で使われる微分音や現代音楽で使われる不協和音などをコラージュすることで、世界で途切れることなく続いてきた祈りを現代的なアンサンブルに昇華させている。メンバーの子どもの声（2歳〜8歳）や写真を用いることで、美しい未来を表現するとともに、誰もが芸術に参加することの大切さも訴えている。温暖化・少子化・戦争といった困難な問題に立ち向かうには、心を通わせること、創造力、ユーモアが重要だ。音の船に乗って世界と繋がろう。 マスタリングは Audun Strypeが担当し、タイトルは、George Herbert (1593-1633) の詩 “Peace”から引用した。
People have incorporated peace prayers into music since ancient times. The title is drawn from the inspirational poem "Peace" by George Herbert (1593-1633), guiding our musical journey and the composition uses the timeless melody of "Langebergs Laatt'n" (Range of mountains), a traditional Norwegian folk tune passed down through the centuries. Incorporating folk music instruments such as the langeleik and hardanger fiddle, it weaves together a tapestry of genres including hymns, blues, rock, and pop. The composition embraces the microtones inherent in folk music, incorporates the dissonances characteristic of modern music, and blends various elements to transform age-old prayers that have transcended geographical boundaries into a contemporary ensemble. By incorporating the voices and images of the members' children, aged 2 to 8 years old, our goal is not only to convey a vision of a beautiful future but also to express the essence of 'Peace' in its purest form. Additionally, we aim to underscore the significance of everyone engaging in the arts. The crucial aspect lies in confronting challenging global issues by connecting our hearts through musical creativity and humor. Embark on a sonic voyage with us and connect with the world.

モーテン J. ヴァテン、酒井絵美によるノルウェーの民俗音楽を演奏するデュオ。東京藝術大学で知り合い、2015年に結成。2016年、民俗音楽を現代的に解釈した1st アルバム"Heiðrún"を発表し、ノルウェー本国から称賛される。ラ・フォル・ジュルネ・オ・ジャパン(2017)、浜松市楽器博物館(2018)などに出演後、それぞれの育児のため活動休止。本年活動を再開した。
A duo, consisting of Morten J. Vatn and Emy Sakai, that plays Norweigian folk music. The duo was formed in 2015 when both of them met at the Tokyo University of the Arts. In 2016, they released their first album "Heiðrún," providing a modern interpretation of folk music, which garnered praise in the country of origin of the music, i.e., Norway. After appearing at La Folle Journée au Japon (2017), Hamamatsu Museum of Musical Instruments (2018), etc., they suspended their activities to look after their respective children. Recommenced activities this year.
