転位する蛹のための地平

日本各地に埋められた地震計が示す微弱な土地の揺れのリアルタイムデータや、過去30日分の地面の揺れの変化を映したVR。 無数に仮想空間が生成される現代、その幻想性/仮設性の中で、我々が地に足をつく地面・根拠の存在を確かめ直し、VRが立ち上げうる空間の特性を探っている。 プレートテクトニクスによって変化を続ける土地と、その土地に 紐づく座標系や体系へと立ち帰る。 展示では、サラウンドのスピーカーによって、震源の方位に合わせてリアルタイムの日本の微弱な揺れを示す音楽が鳴っている。 現在、土地にまつわる足元に広がる物語や神話のCGの付加や、鑑賞者の足取りをセンサリングするデバイスとの接続など、制作・活動を展開中である。
VR showing real-time data of miniscule land tremors, revealed by seismographs buried across Japan, and changes in surface tremors over the past 30 days. Today, when innumerable virtual spaces are generated, this work reconfirms the existence of the surface and foundation that we stand on, amid the illusory or temporary nature of these spaces, and looks for the characteristics of spaces where VR could be launched. It returns to land, which changes continually due to plate tectonics, and the coordinate systems and schemes connected to it. The exhibition plays music that demonstrates the miniscule tremors in Japan in real time, through surround speakers, according to the direction of the epicenter. Currently, the artist is developing creations and activities, such as adding CG of tales and myths, along the ground where viewers will walk, connecting to devices that sense their steps.

VRを用いて、私たちとこの世界が別のあり方で開かれた思弁についての制作と研究を行う。CGや詩作と、VRやドキュメンタリーの手法を行き来し、世界と「私」の可塑性を模索する。現在は特に幻想の地面・地平と、その上で扱われる根拠律や座標系をモチーフに制作を行っている。東京藝術大学大学院 映像研究科 メディア映像専攻在籍。
Creates and researches speculation of existence in a different world, using VR. Ventures back and forth between CG and poetry, and the methods of VR and documentaries, to investigate the plasticity of the world and "I." Currently creating with the motifs of imaginary surfaces and horizons, in particular, and the foundational rules and coordinate systems that regulate them.
